In the second quarter of 2024, the top five Film & Television apps in Europe displayed diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Disney+ saw fluctuating revenue, peaking at $8.5M in early April and maintaining a range between $7.1M and $8.5M throughout the quarter. Downloads varied, reaching a low of 326K in the week of May 20 and rising to 451K in the week of June 10. Weekly active users started at 18.3M in early April and showed a slight decline to 16.1M by the end of June.

Amazon Prime Video experienced consistent revenue, starting at $1.9M and peaking at $2.2M in late June. Downloads were relatively steady, with a notable peak at 462K in the week of April 29. Weekly active users fluctuated, beginning at 9.7M in early April and ending at 9.7M by the end of June, with minor variations in between.

Crunchyroll showed a steady increase in revenue, starting at $1.2M and reaching $1.5M by late June. Downloads saw a peak of 155K in the week of April 22 and remained steady around 100K to 130K for the rest of the quarter. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 2.2M and ending at a similar level by the end of June.

discovery+ had variable revenue, ranging from $678K to $927K throughout the quarter. Downloads peaked significantly at 210K in the week of May 27. Weekly active users showed an increase in late May, peaking at 481K, but declined to 340K by the end of June.

Netflix maintained stable revenue, starting at $855K and ending at $865K. Downloads were consistent, with a peak of 490K in the week of June 10. Weekly active users remained high, starting at 39.3M in early April and ending at 37.3M by late June.
